Through a series of sessions each fall, residents can learn about the responsibilities of County departments and the services they provide to the community. Through presentations, facility tours and Board of Supervisors or Planning Commission meetings, participants can gain a better understanding of the role New Kent County government plays in the quality of life that its citizens enjoy. University sessions are held at various county facilities depending upon the topics being covered in each session. These locations are communicated to participants before the first session. A snack and bottled water are provided at each session.

Participants must complete a registration form to be considered, on a first-come, first-served basis. Classes are limited to 25 participants. Preference will be given to those who live or work in New Kent County and to those who submit their registration forms first.
